Thorough Inspection

We inspect all of the areas to be coated and devise a plan to successfully complete the project. We note any areas needing special attention including making an inventory of any wood that needs to be replaced, stucco needing repair, etc…

Pressure Washing

We pressure wash all the surfaces to remove any dirt and debris from the substrate before we begin working. This provides a clean surface for optimal Rhino Shield adhesion.

3_repair_replace_siding

Repair/Replace Siding

We repair or replace all damaged siding materials with the exact type of material as is on your home. This may include wood replacement or stucco repair. Our goal is to bring the surface back to its original condition.

4_scraping

Scraping

All loose paint and debris on wood surfaces is removed by scraping. Our goal is to provide a bondable surface for the primer and top coat.

5_caulking

Caulking

Using a high quality elastomeric acrylic caulk, we caulk all small surface cracks and holes, vertical joints, and areas around doors and windows to properly reduce air infiltration and ensure longevity and flexibility. However, it is not in our practice to caulk underneath laps as it may limit ventilation.

6_masking

Masking

All areas which are not to be coated are masked off, covered or temporarily removed (such as lighting fixtures, mailboxes, downspouts, utility boxes, etc…). Special attention is given to cover areas such as roofing, landscaping, lawns, decks, and other areas prone to overspray.

7_priming

Priming

The primer is applied to seal, waterproof, and provide a bonding agent for the ceramic finish coat. Our primer contains a proprietary formula that includes an additive that reduces the growth of mold, mildew and algae. When applied, the primer sealer is white in color but dries to a clear finish.

8_finish_coat_application

Finish Coat Application

Now the surface is finally ready for the ceramic finish coat. The ceramic coat can be tinted to over 1,500 colors. The finish coat is sprayed at a high mil thickness (100 square feet per gallon) to provide ultimate protection to your walls. Some areas (especially porous sections) may require brushing or back rolling of the ceramic finish coat.

9_detail_touch_up

Detail Touch-Up

After the ceramic finish coat has been applied, we touch up any highly detailed or tight space areas to make them look their best.

10_clean_up

Clean-up

Once the finish coat has cured, we remove all masking materials and collect all drop cloths. Any remaining paint chips are cleaned up. Our goal is to return the job site to the same condition as before we arrived.
